    "textoCompleto" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSections"><p id="par0005" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">We present the case of a 39-year-old man with no history of interest&#44; referred to cardiology for an examination of a diastolic murmur identified during a routine examination&#46; The patient was asymptomatic and had no signs of heart failure&#46; The transthoracic echocardiography revealed a mitral valve with an elongated and slightly thickened anterior leaflet that covered virtually the entire mitral annular plane &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>A&#41;&#44; with no contribution from the severely hypoplastic posterior leaflet&#46; No associated regurgitation was observed&#46; The apical plane showed a slightly dilated left ventricle with preserved systolic function &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>C&#41; and 2 completely developed papillary muscles &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>B&#41;&#46; The 3D transesophageal study revealed a type 1 bicuspid aortic valve with thickening of both leaflets and associated moderate aortic regurgitation &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>D&#41;&#46;</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Congenital mitral valve defects are extremely rare&#44; the rarest of which is the unileaflet mitral valve&#46; Of the 12 cases described in the literature&#44; most are due to hypoplasia of the posterior leaflet&#46; This is the first case to have an associated bicuspid aortic valve&#46;</p></span>"
